Early Days
Back in the 1900's there was no commercial company offering Laundry service in Rajkot and our founder Late Shree. Amrutlal R. Jodhpura began his journey as a laundry man in the year 1939.
It all started with a habit of keeping clothes clean and maintain the hygiene of the clothes so that no one has to wear/repeat the dirty clothes and keeping oneself healthy physically.
The beginning was tough as the technology of washing clothes in a machine was not widely available in India, so the process had to be done manually. We collected the clothes from our clients, took them on a bullock cart to the nearest river for washing manually and used to bring them back and let them dry in an open area.
As Honest Dry Cleaners celebrated its 11th year in 1950 working as a laundry service provider and gradually learned about the rise of washing clothes in machines. Even in the 1950’s there were not many washing machines in India, but we got a chance to import washing from Europe.
Roots to Innovation
The first ever washing machine was bought in the 1950s by Honest Dry Cleaners and became the one and only laundry service in Rajkot having a washing machine in the Saurashtra region.
As the word spread like a bushfire that now clothes could be washed in a washing machine people flocked from across the Saurashtra region to see the process and get their clothes washed with Honest Dry Cleaners.
Gradually in the 1970’s we bought 3 more machines manufactured and made in India. In the same year, we imported the first ever Dry-Cleaning washing machine in the 1970’s and once again became the first to do so. The clothes were washed in white petrol in the dry-cleaning machine.
When Honest Dry Cleaners - Laundry Service in Rajkot was close to its golden jubilee / 50th year of working as a laundry man in Gujarat.

Right from the inception we have used the best in class chemicals that were skin friendly and washing technology available at the time that took care of the clothes too.
We have been the pioneer in the laundry and dry-cleaning business since the 1939. And now its our 4th generation taking a step forward and offering franchisee business opportunity with our knowledge and expertise. Now with all latest technology available and equipped with best chemicals we have geared up and are ready to serve for another 85 years. Over the past 85 years we have washed more than 1,00,00,000 clothes.

We came across the opportunity of offering our services to one of our Late President of India in the year 1986 & 87. We got the opportunity to offer our services for 2 years and it ended in 1987 with his tenure as a president.
